Sitecrew Client Email Problem
December 1st, 2011
It is possible that a number of our clients may be experiencing email connectivity problems. As you are probably aware, the recent migration of all our sites from Webfusion to their sister-company Heart Internet caused a number of website issues. We believe these are all resolved now but please do let us know if you can see any issues with your site.
However, we have now been informed that email account settings were also affected. If you use one or more email addresses @yourwebsite you will need to be aware of these changes.
The change affects your email account login name. With Webfusion this was typically in the form pop.something. With the new platform your login name is now the same as the email address, eg yourname@yourwebsite.com.
This change may not take effect immediately but at some stage you may well see a popup message from Outlook (or whatever email client you use) asking you to confirm your account login name and password.
Please DO NOT alter the password as this should remain unchanged. But PLEASE DO change the login name to your email address. Then tick the ‘Remember my changes’ box ( it may be worded slightly differently ) and click on OK. We will also post this information on our website at www.sitecrew.co.uk
Please accept our apologies again for this disruption which was unfortunately beyond our control.
